REGARDS STROKE STUDY

I had the privilege of working with the largest national cohort of its kind, the REGARDS Stroke Study at The University of Alabama at Birmingham, to create a new design for their birthday/holiday cards and newsletters. REGARDS, which stands for REasons for Geographic and Racial Differences in Strokes, focuses on understanding why Southerners and Black Americans have higher rates of stroke and related diseases that affect brain health. Even though the target audience for this study is participants over the age of 45 up to 100+, I really wanted to capture the fun and playful aesthetic by using bold, bright colors to spark a feeling of youthfulness.
